“Phenomenal (that’s fancy for really, really great)!”– NW Kids Magazine

Fancy Nancy and her friends Bree, Rhonda, Wanda, and Lionel are going to be performing in their very first dance recital (that's fancy for show!), “Deep Sea Dances.” Nancy is positive (that’s fancy for 100% sure) that she and Bree will be picked to be mermaids. When another girl wins the coveted role, Nancy is must play a dreary, dull tree. Can she bring her fancy flair to the role, even though it isn’t the one she wanted?

“Clever and inspired” – The New York Times

“Charming without being condescending, with songs that are peppy, smart and catchy” – Mommy Poppins

Recommended for all ages | The performance will be 70 minutes, including one intermission.

Don't forget to dress fancy when you come to the show!

    Bay Area Children’s Theatre production

  • "We're really happy to see these high-quality children's theater productions come to Marin. Our family has made the trek to see many of the BACT productions in Berkeley, and have always had a great time. While Berkeley's not too far from Marin, we're glad to have these productions right in our own backyard now." –

"It is always a pleasure to see professional theatre being produced for youngsters, and MTC's Around the World in 80 Days is excellent. When I attended, the pre-teen audience was utterly enthralled and the adults pleasantly entertained... I saw the play in the company of two insightful young ladies, ages 12 and 9. Both give the play a thumbs up!" – TheatreStorm

"I was as impressed with The Cat in the Hat, the first play in MTC's Theater Series for Young Audiences, as my granddaughter... If the remainder of the Theater for Young Audiences season can come anywhere near the gusto of this play, I can guarantee matinee happiness." – Mill Valley Herald
