Science is all about YOU! That's the message of A Short History of Nearly Everything, a fun, fast, and fascinating romp through the world of science. Black holes, quantum mechanics, and evolution have never been so entertaining.

Marin Theatre Company is once again bringing Lauren Gunderson's stage adaptation of Bill Bryson's award-winning book to middle and high schools around Marin County and the Bay Area.  The 50-minute performance for up to 299 students can be followed by workshops with the actors, getting the students involved and engaged in the world of science.

Miss it in the schools? Come to the family matinee performances of the show on Oct 18 and 19. Tickets are only $15 for adults and $10 for students. Call 415.388.5208 or click on the link above to purchase your tickets.

The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe

for elementary schools

February 23 - March 20, 2009

Wardrobe

The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis comes to life on stage in your elementary school, in this delightful and imaginative adaptation by le Clanché du Rand.  Children will be thrilled to join Tumnus the Faun, the White Queen, and Aslan the Lion in the magical land of Narnia.  The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe is on the California Department of Education recommended literature list for reading and language arts.  The performance for up to 299 students will be under 45 minutes in length, and can be followed by creative drama workshops with the actors.

The 2007 School Tour played in September and October at schools and senior centers around Marin County -- performing for 3000 students in Marin! To be sure you receive information about booking performances for future School Tours, please contact Josh Costello, MTC’s Artistic Director of Expanded Programs, at education@marintheatre.org or call 415.388.5200 x3310.

"Thank you all so much for a lively, informative, and fun show. The program is a great match for the 8th grade curriculum and will help the students all year tackling the advanced concepts covered in Physical Science. They will never think of Newton or Einstein the same way again!”
