Danny Osburn is a lighting designer and electrician native to the East Bay. In addition to his regular duties as the Master Electrician for MTC, he has served as the Assistant Lighting Designer for several productions here, most recently Noura. He has also designed the lights for various shows in the Bay Area, most recent of which was Sovereignty at MTC. Since 2018, he has been the guest instructor of Electrics at Tamalpais High School. Prior to joining MTC, Danny spent seven years in Chicago. There, he worked as the Master Electrician for Lifeline Theatre and for Adventure Stage Chicago, and as the Assistant ME for Northwestern University’s Cherubs program. In addition, he has worked as a freelance electrician for companies ranging from Steppenwolf to the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art. Danny cut his teeth as an entertainment electrician as an intern for MTC in 2010. He earned a BA in Theatre and Philosophy from Northwestern in 2011. Portfolio: www.dannyosburn.com
