Born a Jew, Paris had espoused the merits of a Jewish homeland, where Jews finally had the right to live in peace and sovereignty; that is, until he traveled to that homeland to see first hand Israel's neighbors being denied the right to live in peace and sovereignty. Paris believes it a privilege to now have a nuanced perspective of the conflict facing Israel and Palestine, and a privilege to engage in the dialectics of this conflict by acting this play.
