Heather Basarab returns to MTC after last season’s Peerless (BATCC nomination); she recently designed the critically acclaimed Crowded Fire production of Young Jean Lee’s The Shipment. Her designs for theater and dance have been seen across the country, from La Mama and the New Victory (NY), to the Bay Area’s Shotgun Players (Hamlet, BATCC nomination), AXIS Dance Company (Time Out Chicago’s Best Dance Lighting for Light Shelter), the Joe Goode Performance Group (Isadora Duncan Award for Drowsy), and SF Danceworks (Izzy nomination for Portrait). Ms. Basarab holds a BA from the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television and a MS in Arts Education from Dominican University.
