Chigamba makes her MTC debut with The Convert. A native Zimbabwean, she has performed and taught widely in the US since 1999. Chigamba directs the Chinyakare Ensemble, which performs authentic Zimbabwean music and dance. In 2000, she founded Tawande MuChinyakare, an organization dedicated to the preservation of Shona music and dance.
