Jaysen Wright makes his MTC debut in Choir Boy. A Washington, D.C.-based actor, he has appeared in that region in Choir Boy and The Rocky Horror Show (2012 Helen Hayes nominated) at Studio Theatre; Take Me Out at 1st Stage; Measure for Measure, Coriolanus and Wallenstein at the Shakespeare Theatre; Carolina Layaway Grail at the Welders; and Pinkalicious and 12 Days of Christmas at Adventure Theatre. His Indiana regional credits include You Can’t Take It With You and Taming of the Shrew at Indiana Festival Theatre, The Nerd at Brown County Playhouse, as well as The Pillowman, Nine Circles, Hair, Angels in America, Take Me Out, As You Like It and reasons to be pretty at Indiana University. Wright is a teaching artist with Shakespeare Theatre and Young Playwrights Theatre. He received his BA in Theatre from Grinnell College and his MFA in Acting from Indiana University. jaysenwright.com
