Julianna Rees* (director) is delighted to be directing , after appearing in and directing and for MTC’s Summer Camp. She was Assistant Director to Jasson Minadakis for . Julianna graduated from Crossroads School for the Performing Arts and UC Berkeley. As part of her studies, she attended l’Université de Paris IV, with a focus on semiology and philosophy. Julianna has performed with Second City’s Paul Sills, the California Shakespeare Theatre, Shakespeare Festival Los Angeles, Sacramento Theatre Company and Central Works, among others. Other directing credits include Ross Valley Players and the Curtain Theatre. She has been a teaching artist at Tam High’s Conservatory Theatre Ensemble for 17 years, where she has directed over twenty productions. At Tam Drama, she leads workshops in Shakespeare, audition technique, acting, and directing. Julianna is a busy audition and acting coach, guiding students to top BFA and MFA conservatories in the US and UK. Past students can now be seen in leading roles on stages in New York and London, on network television and in feature films.
