This special workshop is brought to you by a first time collaboration between the California Film Institute and Marin Theatre! Gearing up for this year’s Environmental Youth Forum and Earth Day we will be thinking about how to consider Climate Change in Theatre Arts! We will creatively examine endangered insects, displaced animals and all of the wonderful ways we can use the stage to teach our audience about how to best care for our home: Mother Earth!
We will spend our days collecting materials in nature, creating visual art using recycled goods, having Trashion Shows in our costume creations and playing in the park. Students will work with a Marin Theatre and a California Film Institute Teaching Artist to create a short-form documentary that will be screened at the Youth Forum on April 22nd!
