MARIN THEATRE COMPANY ANNOUNCES
KERI KELLERMAN
AS NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR

MILL VALLEY, CAMarin Theatre Company proudly announces Keri Kellerman will be joining the organization in January 2017 as its new Managing Director. The organization is thrilled to have a proven executive joining its ranks whose work has focused on strong financial management, deep developmental growth and building the future for American playwrights. Ms. Kellerman is equally ecstatic:

“Marin Theatre Company is putting fearless work by some of the most exciting playwrights today on its stages. I'm honored to join its dedicated community of artists, board members, staff, and audiences to embrace theater in all its complexity and humanity. As MTC celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, I look forward to partnering with Jasson to help shape a future where the depth of our resources matches the height of our imagination.”

Ms. Kellerman joined the Playwrights’ Center as managing director in 2013, bringing over 20 years of experience in nonprofit leadership. During her tenure, she led the organization to greater financial stability, bolstered its capacity, and solidified the board and staff. Prior to joining the Center, she spearheaded Intiman Theatre’s revival and new sustainable business model in partnership with artistic director Andrew Russell. She has also held leadership and development positions at prominent Seattle arts organizations such as UW World Series at Meany Hall, On the Boards, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Seattle Repertory Theatre. She has served as a Minnesota State Arts Board panelist and as a board member for multiple arts organizations in other regions, including the Seattle-based dance company zoe | juniper.

MTC’s Artistic Director Jasson Minadakis is very pleased to have Ms. Kellerman on board to spearhead the organization’s business initiatives, as well as support and promote the new play development work of the organization:

"I am delighted to welcome Keri to our company and am excited to have such a dedicated partner to lead Marin Theatre Company into its next 50 years. Keri has spent her career creating exciting opportunities for playwrights and other artists to follow their visions and to lead their communities. She has forged powerful and profound community partnerships locally and nationally that allow her artists to push ever forward with building a better, more just and compassionate society. I look forward to the future we will create for our company and community."

MTC’s Board President Fred W. Taylor is excited to begin working with Ms. Kellerman on long-standing board initiatives, new financial strategies and to introduce her to the very enthusiastic community of arts advocates here in Mill Valley:

"Over the past 10 years, Marin Theatre Company has achieved national recognition for the quality of the art Jasson Minadakis puts on its stage, and I am very pleased that, after a nationwide search, we are able to bring to our theatre a Managing Director who will work with Jasson and the Board to bring our business and administrative practices to the same level of excellence. The Board was impressed by Ms. Kellerman’s intelligence, experience and steady determination to succeed, and we look forward to working closely with her to strengthen the administrative and financial structure that supports the art Marin Theatre Company produces on stage and the education work it does throughout Marin County."

Ms. Kellerman will be ending her tenure with the Playwrights’ Center on December 16, 2016, and will officially begin working with MTC on January 2, 2017.
